Use this guide to walk through running comp in AgencyZoom

One feature of AgencyZoom that makes your life easier is the ability to quickly calculate compensation for your agency. To proceed, it's worth noting that only Managers with Comp Access or the agency owner have access to be able to create compensation plans, run compensation for the month, or view payroll. Prior to running your compensation, be sure your comp plan is set up.

In AgencyZoom, Written Business refers specifically to the policy information entered directly into AgencyZoom. Issued Business refers to the policy information from DASH and/or Ivantage reports.

When your compensation tiers are set up, you have options that determine whether AgencyZoom calculates that commission tier based on Issued or Written business.

If you're paying off Written Business (only what's entered into AgencyZoom):

1. Select My Agency

2. Click "Run Comp"

3. Select the Production Month from the drop-down and click Start

Congrats! You're done!

If you're paying off Issued Business (business on the DASH or Ivantage report - Allstate Specific):

1. Select My Agency

2. Click "Run Comp"

3. Select the Production Month from the drop-down and click Start

The following steps will vary for depending on how you have your comp plan set up. Reference the screenshot at the start of each section, if you see these on your screen, that means that report is required based on how your plan is set up.

Instructions for the "Upload Premium" Report:

**As of 10/16/2023, Allstate made changes to the DASH reporting formatting that AgencyZoom previously utilized for this report. The following steps have been updated to show the new process:

1. The button in AgencyZoom to download the Premium report will now take you to the "Compensation Summary" in DASH.

2. Navigate to the Agent Transaction Detail.

3. Once this report loads, there will be an option to change it from "Daily" to "Monthly", then download the "Agent Transaction Detail - Monthly" report. It will default to a regular Excel .xlsx file format.

4. Go back to your AgencyZoom window and select "Upload Report".

*Tip: If you have multiple locations, you will need to upload each location individually for your Premium report. The Item report will load all locations in one report.


Instructions for the "Upload Items/Points" Report:

**As of 03/04/2024, Allstate made changes to the DASH reporting formatting that AgencyZoom previously utilized for this report. The following steps have been updated to show the new process:

1. Upon reaching this point in running your compensation plan, click Download report and follow the new tab to Allstate's DASH page.

2. You will be taken to the "New Business Summary" page in DASH. Click the "NB Details" button on the left side of the screen.

3. Once this screen loads. Change the Start and End dates to match the timeframe you're running compensation for. If you're running it for January, you want to use 1/1/2024 through 1/31/2024. Once you've changed the dates, click "Go".

4. Select 'Edit View' and make sure every column except the three below are selected and then select 'Done and Save'

5. When this report has loaded, Click on the Download button on the right side of the report.

5. You can now upload the report to AgencyZoom.


Instructions for the "Upload Ivantage Report":

1. Go to Dash

2. Click on Reports, then Compensation, then iVantage: Link to VantagePoint

3. Click on the Commission tab from the top menu

4. Click on Export XLS to download the report

5. Save the file to your computer as a CSV (Select CSV from Save As Type)

6. If you have multiple locations or reports, then repeat the above steps for each location/report

7. Go back to your AgencyZoom window and select Upload Report

8. After uploading the report, please select Review and fill in the missing drop-down menus

9. Once all of the missing drop-down menus are complete, exit out of the "review" window and select Next to finish.

How to View Payroll

You did it! You should have landed on the summary page that gives you an overview of compensation for the month. For a more detailed look you can also download and/or email your team their compensation statements.

You can always get back to view your agency's compensation with these steps:

1. Go to My Agency > View Comp

2. Click the blue number representing the amount an employee earned to see a breakdown of the calculation

3. Click the red PDF icon to download an employee’s comp statement

4. If you need to make a manual adjustment, go to Comp Statement > Manual Adjustment
