In AgencyZoom, you can Export your Automated sequences as files to share with other Agencies, or Import said files into your own automation sequence. In this article we’ll go over the steps on how to export your automation to share, or how to import automation you’ve received from another Agency or Consultant.
How to Export Automation
When importing and exporting automation in AgencyZoom, you’re only able to do so one Stage of a pipeline at a time. So for instance, the pipeline below has three stages with automation: New, Contacted, and Quotes. If I wanted to export that pipeline’s automation to share with another Agency, I’d have to export each stage’s automation separately.
First I’d go to Lifecycle Automation. Second, I’d click on the Pipeline and Stage. Then, I’d click Actions > Export at the top of the screen.
After doing so, it will download that stage’s automation to your computer as a JSON file. All automation are imported and exported as JSON files. You’d repeat those steps for the Contacted Stage, then the Quoted stage. After that, you could share those files with the other Agency.
How to Import Automation
As stated in the steps of exporting automation, automated steps must be in the JSON file format. Once you have a JSON file for a stage’s automation, you’d go to Lifecycle Automation, click the pipeline and stage, and click Actions > Import at the top. From there, select the JSON file, and it will be automatically uploaded into the Stage. Repeat the steps any other Stages you have JSON files for.
NOTE: When importing automation, they will default as being turned off to avoid any automation triggering before you’re ready to begin the campaign. If you want the automation to start triggering right away, make sure to toggle them on after uploading.
Default Automation Example JSON Files
When you sign up for AgencyZoom, you'll find a default pipeline with a New, Contacted, & Quoted stage pre-loaded with automation to get you up and running. Below are the JSON files for that default automation, which you can use as examples to try out importing automation- or in case you’d like some baseline automation for creating a new pipeline.
