Add Lead Sources

How to add lead sources in Agency Zoom.

Updated this week

Add Lead Sources

In AgencyZoom, you can create new Lead Source and Lead Source Categories in order to help track where your Leads are coming from.

Why Add Lead Sources?

#1 : Automation can be set to trigger based on lead source. For example, you can build a sequence of touchpoints that only apply to leads with the “Referral” lead source, or only apply to the “Call In” lead source. Your sales process may differ for certain types of leads, this way you could have specific automation set for specific types of leads.

#2: Reporting and tracking: Under the Reports section in AgencyZoom you will have insight on how leads are performing. And there are both specific reports that are based on Lead Source, or other Reports can often be filtered based on Lead Source.

Each Lead Source falls under a greater Lead Source “Category. For instance, you could have a “Social Media” category, with Lead Sources like “Facebook” and “LinkedIn” under it. The steps to add a Lead Source Category are as follows:

Step 1. Click "My Agency" (the gear symbol in the bottom left for Admin users)

Step 2. Click "Lead Sources”

Step 3. To add a new category of lead sources, click "Add now", Name the Category and click "Save".

Excluded From Sales

If this box is checked, a policy with that Lead Source won’t show on Dashboard, or in any New Business Reports. If any sale is missing from reports, one of the first things we recommend is to check if the lead source on the missing Policy is marked as “Excluded From Sales”. As an example, the “Rewrite” Lead Source is typically Excluded From Sales by default.
