Similar to connecting email, we also offer phone integrations with multiple providers.

Here's what you need to know about connecting connecting a phone system to AgencyZoom:

1. Functionality Based on Your Plan Type

  • Texting: Growth and Pro accounts can integrate phone systems and use texting within AgencyZoom.

  • Click-to-call: Pro accounts can also use the "Click-2-Call" function within AgencyZoom.

2. Texting Compliance Registration

Due to compliance laws, all VoIP providers will require you to go through a compliance process if you intend to text using their platform. This is commonly known as "A2P" or "TCR" registration. It includes a verification that you are a legitimate business, as well as the intended use for your phone system. Each phone provider should have a process or documentation in place to help you get registered. The process can take weeks to receive approval, so the earlier you can start on it the sooner you can text in AgencyZoom!

3. Phone Providers and Their Capabilities

Each eligible phone provider is listed below along with the basic capabilities provided:

  • RingCentral: call, text, and call recording

  • Twilio: call, text, and call recording. Because Twilio allows you to use it exclusively for texting, it's a good, low-cost option if you only need texting within AgencyZoom.

  • Nerdphone: call and text

  • Vonix: call and text

  • Bridge: call and text

  • Lightspeed: call and text

  • Ooma: call only

AgencyZoom allows multiple VoIP platforms to be connected to one account. Within the integration settings, the default platform for texting and the default platform for calling are selected. This is a good option if you have a calling only phone provider (e.g. Lightspeed or Ooma) but you still want to use a system like Twilio for texting.
